Australia Prime Minister Tony Abbott has blamed a hangover for calling TV host David Koch "Chris" twice.

Koch said on 'Sunrise' that he saw the 57-year-old PM the other night, where he came up and went "g'day Chris" and then apologized for it, News.com.au reported.

Koch, who has interviewed the PM regularly on the show, added that Abbott, who was also stumbling over his words on co-payments and university fees, explained that he was a bit hungover because they had their staff Christmas party the night before.
