Touched! PeeCee's reaction on Parineeti's singing debut

Parineeti Chopra is the latest actress to try her hand at singing with her upcoming film 'Meri Pyaari Bindu'.

The actress, who has been receiving positive feedback for her debut song 'Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin', was, at the trailer launch, asked about cousin Priyanka's reaction.

"She was really touched. Mimi Didi's papa and my dad used to do shows and we used to join them. Me to sing is a big thing. I had to do it well. For my family it was like chalo izzat bacha li. So this was like a huge thing for me," replied an elated Parineeti.

The 'Hasee toh Phasee' star also said even though the actors have started singing for movies, singers cannot be substituted.

"Playback singers can never be replaced. They are beautiful, technically sound and just perfect."

On a related note, backed by Yash Raj Films and directed by Akshay Roy, 'Meri Pyari Bindu' also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and is scheduled to release on May 12.
