Global anti-corruption organisation Transparency International has denied the Aam Aadmi Party's claims that corruption had come down during its tenure in Delhi, and stated that it has not carried out any studies to assess the levels of corruption for the period as yet.

Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had claimed during a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) meet yesterday that he had come to know that Transparency International is set to release a report which says that corruption has reduced in the Delhi Jal Board.

The first reference to the proposed TI report was made by AAP leader Shazia Iilmi. She was quoted in a newspaper report, as saying that the Transparency International report, which is yet to be released, has found that corruption has come down in Delhi in the last 45 days.

However, Ashutosh Mishra, executive director, Transparency International India, denied the existence of any such report.

"We have not done any such survey on corruption, nor, do we have any such plan," Mishra said.

"AAP should clarify this, as our stand is very clear that we haven't carried any (such) survey," he added.
