At least two people have sustained injuries after being shot by a gunman on Florida State University's campus in Tallahassee today, officials from Tallahassee Memorial Health Care said.
The patients' conditions are unknown and it is unclear if those injured were students, reported ABC News.
Student Toni Haywood, a junior, said that she was on the second floor of the Strozier Library when she heard gunshots. Shortly afterwards, the police came on the intercom and said that there was a gunman in the lobby who had shot two people, she added. They were asked to stay away from windows and doors.
Police has not released any other detail on the shooting.
The university sent emergency alerts to students, classifying the incident as a "dangerous situation" and asking students to seek shelter.
