The Special Judge, CBI cases, Patiala House Court, convicted Vinod Attal, former Assistant Commissioner, Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of National Capital Territory in a bribery case and sentenced him to four years rigorous imprisonment.

The CBI had filed a chargesheet against Attal in March 2013 on the charges of demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.40, 000/- for not cancelling FPS (Fair Price Shop) licence of the complainant. Sixteen witnesses were examined during the trial.
