The seventh season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to start in UAE with defending champions Mumbai Indians playing Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match on Wednesday.
The first half of the tournament will be hosted in UAE from April 16 to April 30. Major venues for the matches will Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. A total of 20 matches will be played in the UAE.
The rest of the tournament will resume in India from May 2 onwards and 36 matches and 4 playoffs will be played.
