Rocket Internet's Easy Taxi has cancelled its plans of debuting in India, and announced that it is cutting back on businesses in Indonesia and Hong Kong.
According to Tech Crunch, Easy Taxi, a rival to taxi app businesses like Uber, confirmed that it is scaling down operations in Hong Kong and Indonesia in order to focus on other core markets.
The company said that it will continue to operate in these countries as long as it found the service levels acceptable, adding that it was providing support to its local partners.
Speaking on it decision to abort plans to launch in India, the company said that its services there were not yet fully operational and it had decided not to continue pursuing the full launch.
