Uber drivers are reportedly earning up to 6 dollars more an hour on average than their taxi counterparts in the US.
According to Sky News, a new analysis suggests that drivers for the on-demand app Uber make more money and work fewer hours than traditional taxi drivers.
The analysis that was made on the basis of internal figures and a survey of 600 drivers showed that in Washington, the difference between money earned by Uber drivers and other taxi drivers was 4.60 dollars, in San Francisco 10 dollars and in New York closer to 15 dollars.
The data further revealed that Uber's drivers in the US received 656.8m dollars (436.4 pounds) in the last three months of 2014, and the number of new drivers has doubled every six months for the last two years, the report added.
