Udhampur Police have seized nearly 10 kilograms of heroin.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Udhampur) Benam Tosh, said a suspect, identified as Majid Khan, was arrested with the narcotics, worth millions of rupees during a vehicle check.
Police informed that the investigation is underway.
Earlier this year, the anti-narcotics directorate destroyed 445 kilograms of heroin seized in Punjab between 2008 and 2012.
