The British government has presented cricketer Sachin Tendulkar with a special gift, a photograph of the Little Master coming off the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester after scoring his first Test century in 1990. Tendulkar scored an unbeaten 119 in that match.
Hailing Tendulkar for his contribution to cricket, British Prime Minister David Cameron, who is on a two-day visit to India, said on Thursday that the legendary cricketer has been an inspiration to youngsters?
"I think he is an extraordinary cricketer, a fantastic player, an all time great on inspiring young players, I wish him well today," Cameron said on the occasion of his 200th and final test.
"I think it's not just about the cricket, but also consistency. You need to be really consistent to score a century. If you look who has done more to inspire the young cricketers, he (Sachin) has done well in that," he added.
