Commenting on the ongoing tussle between Samajwadi Party (SP) patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and son Akhilesh Yadav, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sambit Patra claimed that the results of the recently concluded Uttar Pradesh Assembly Polls clearly indicate that the people of the state are no more interested in the 'family feud'.
Speaking to ANI on Saturday, Patra stated that the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in successfully integrating the people of UP, is a sign of locals wanting the state to develop in sync with their aspirations.
"UP has moved on from family politics to new India; an India that stands for development. There is no scope for politics based on caste, creed or family matters," said Patra, with regards to the father-son debacle.
Earlier during the day, Mulayam Singh Yadav alleged that he was humiliated time and again by his son.
Re-iterating Prime Minister Modi's statement, made during his rally in Kannauj, the SP frontrunner stated that a person who does not respect his father will not be loyal to the people of his state.
