The Uttar Pradesh Police on Sunday arrested five persons in connection with a gangrape of a minor, who committed suicide following threats by the accused in Bhagpat District.
An investigating officer has also been suspended in this regard.
The victim, 16, committed suicide on Saturday after the accused---who had gang-raped her in July---threatened to rape her again if she didn't withdraw her complaint.
"This case was registered in July. We probed, checked the medical report and after conclusion we have arrested the five accused. They have been produced before court today," said Bhagpat Superintendent of Police, Jai Prakash.
"Investigation officer, who probed earlier, has also been suspended," Prakash added.
Further probe into the matter is underway.
