US Open to begin from today

The US Open will begin at the Flushing Meadows in New York from today.

Top-seeded Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Kei Nishikori are some of the players who will play their first round matches on Monday.

World number three Andy Murray will also lock horns with controversial Australian star Nick Kirgios.

Array

Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis and Leander Paes-Rohan Bopanna will also take on their respective partners in the doubles.

Meanwhile, Maria Sharapova has withdrawn from the tournament due to her knee injury.

The tournament is the final Grand Slam of the 2015 season after Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon.
