Pakistan cricket team's head coach Waqar Younis has claimed that he has no place for 'foul-mouthed' criticism targeted at him or the team.
Pakistan is preparing for their upcoming series against Bangladesh. Following the team's practice session at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Younis said that he was aware of all the comments being directed towards the team but had blocked out foul-mouthed rants from former players and experts.
The head coach said that it is only natural that with so many media outlets, someone, somewhere would have their opinion to give, adding that while he is all for constructive criticism, those who cross the boundaries of decency, he has no place for them, The Dawn reported.
The former pace express said that the team management was making all efforts to address their shortcomings, the details of which were submitted in his 'World Cup review' document. He said that that the board has looked into his report and also taken some steps in that regard.
Younis said that the most important thing for him is attitude, adding that if one doesn't have the right attitude, one cannot be part of the team. He said that the Pakistan Cricket Board needs to invest in the Pakistan A, Under-19 and domestic teams.
Younis added that they also need to look after their stadiums as well, insisting that they must not lag behind on any front when international cricket returns to Pakistan.
