Australian spin legend Shane Warne has reportedly promised to think about the prospect of coaching England following the retirement of team director Andy Flower over the team's 5-0 Ashes loss.

England has no problem using foreigners to guide its national team with Zimbabwean Flower being in the job since 2009.

According to News.com.au, Warne posted a tweet referring to those English people asking him to coach their team, saying that although he is flattered that they have considered him for the post, he would have to think about it.

Meanwhile, Warne will reportedly work with Australia as a mentor for the side's spinners in the lead-up to the World Twenty20 tournament in March, to be held in Bangladesh.

The former leg-spinner will join the Australian staff in a consultancy role when the T20 squad assembles in South Africa after the upcoming Test series for three T20 internationals against the top Test team in the world.
