Real Madrid's eight-match winning run has ended following their 1-1 draw with fellow Spanish side Athletic Bilbao on Sunday in the La Liga.
Real, which sit third in La Liga level on points with defending champions Barcelona but three points behind city rivals Atletico, missed the chance to go above Barcelona into second place in the Spanish league.
According to the BBC, Jese gave Real the lead on his full league debut as he stabbed home Cristiano Ronaldo's low cross after the break, although substitute Ibai Gomez equalised from 20 yards for hosts Bilbao at the San Mames stadium.
Following Bilbao's goal, Ronaldo was sent-off with a straight red card late on after raising his hands in a confrontation with Bilbao's Carlos Gurpegi, and his likely three-game absence could well have an impact on a competitive title race, the report added.
