A team of experts including an Indian origin researcher has found the reason why passing a stool is sometimes 'orgasmic'.
According to an expert from Princeton, releasing a big stool stimulated the same nerves that were responsible for an orgasm, Metro.co.uk reported.
Co-author of the study, Dr Anish Sheth said that the distention of the rectum that comes with the passing of a large mass of stool causes the vagus nerve to fire.
Sheth claimed the trick to producing the 'poo-phoria' was to pass a stool that was big enough to extend the rectum.
He also warned although the high from releasing the stool was normally safe, some people may become addicted to it.
