Simon Cowell has revealed the reason behind naming his son Eric Philip after his dad's name Eric Cowell.
'The X Factor' judge was more than excited when he and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman welcomed their son into the world last week, People Magazine reported.
Cowell shared this good news on twitter that he was very close to his father, Eric Cowell and that is the reason, the 54-year-old music mogul named his firstborn after his dad.
Cowell's publicist and longtime friend, Max Clifford said that it's the whole family thing and he had an incredible amount of comfort from the relationship with his mum and dad, asserting that they were very, very close.
Clifford said that the TV personality wants to recreate the father-son relationship that he got from his dad when he was a little one.
