New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson has said that his team is determined to keep playing aggressive form of cricket during the knock-out rounds of the ongoing World Cup tournament.
The Brendon McCullum-led side displayed an aggressive mindset throughout the tournament and is ready to face the West Indies in the quarterfinal tie on Saturday in Wellington.
Brushing aside experts' question whether the aggressive strategy is sustainable during pressure games, Williamson said that it was important that one is relaxed and calm and play with that freedom, adding that they are looking to do that in the next game, Sport24 reported.
Williamson further said that it was important that they look at it with the freedom, and play with that and go into those high pressure situations and express their skills.
Admitting that aggressive approach brings the best out of them, Williamson insisted that this is a one-off game and they need to play with that freedom and sort of calm aggression.
