The newly-appointed Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief, Ajay Maken on Monday said that he would be advising Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on policy making as he was a more experienced politician than the latter.
"Kejriwal when he was taking oath, he himself had said that he would be seeking advice from me on policy matters because of my experience on policy making. I am willing to advise him on any of these policy matters wherever he wants," Maken said.
"I would also like to warn Kejriwal, ever since he has taken over as the Chief Minister of Delhi, its seems as if he is more concerned of finding routes to escape from promises which he made rather than fulfilling the promises, he added.
The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief also said that his top priority would be to strengthen the organisation and to play an effective role of a vigilant opposition party.
"My top priority would be to strengthen the organisation and second is to play an effective role of a vigilant opposition party, he told ANI here.
Congress earlier in the day has appointed five new PCC chiefs and one regional Congress Committee President.
Apart from Ajay Maken, the other new PCC chiefs are: Ashok Chavan in Maharashtra, Ghulam Ahmed Mir in Jammu and Kashmir Bharatsinh Solanki in Gujarat and Uttam Reddy in Telangana, says reports.
AICC secretary Sanjay Nirupam has been appointed the chief of Mumbai Regional Congress Committee.
According to sources, this move comes ahead of possible elevation of Rahul Gandhi as party president at the AICC session next month.
