Zayn Mallik has been bombarded for defending Little Mix's raunchy tour outfits.
The 23-year-old singer took to Twitter to urge people to "liberate their brains" instead of their bodies as the stunning singers were not sending wrong message to young fans, reports the Mirror.
"Love how people feel liberated naked .. Read a book liberate your brain," read his tweet.
Mallik, who was previously engaged to Little Mix-member Perrie Edwards, was immediately slammed by the fans over social media, accusing him of 'throwing shade' at the girl group.
"Zayn probably saw pics of perrie showing off her body and regretted for dumping her that's why he tweeted that tweet.I got you zayn I got ya,' wrote a fan.
"Is Zayn really shading Little Mix?" wrote another.
But the 'Steal My Girl' crooner quickly hit back to insist that he wasn't being negative, saying, "This is not shade ."
"Love .. liberate yourself with education and learn to love everyone's expression .. I said love how exactly is that shade? Explanation done.," he wrote.
