The low cost brand Datsun reveals the sketch of its forthcoming new Datsun concept car, which will be unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo'14, India. The concept car is one of the entry level model to arrive under this brand name, and is considered to be an efficient competitor. The vehicle will compete against the likes of Hyundai Eon and Maruti Alto.
With this new concept car, the company aims to expand its model line-up for rising young customers in growing markets, such as India. It is expected to be priced in between Rs. 2- 3 lakh for the Indian buyers. The vehicle is certainly anticipated to be a great car model, and as said it will be launched under Datsun, which is marketed as the cost effective brand.
The sketch reveals the futuristic design of the car, which will definitely lure more customers in India. The front gets the same honey-comb grille which is found in the company's global models. While the side profile and the rear styling resembles quite a lot to that of Hyundai Eon and Chevrolet Beat.
The concept car represents a possible direction for the future expansion of Datsun’s model line-up for up-and-coming young customers in high-growth markets, such as India. The other cars that we will see at the Datsun stall will be the soon to be launched GO and we can also get a glimpse of the GO+ that was showcased in Indonesia. Datsun is a new low-cost brand under the Nissan umbrella and the company also has Infiniti, which isn't coming anytime soon to India. Datsun's sales and marketing will be in-house as Hover Automotive India won't be in-charge of their sales as it is for the Nissan brand.
