Scuderia Ferrari is pleased to announce that Marussia F1 Team is now part of the group of its Formula 1 customer teams. The long term technical collaboration is for the supply of the entire powertrain as prescribed in the 2014 regulations.
This is the third team to whom Ferrari will supply its engine. At the moment, Toro Rosso and Sauber run on Ferrari’s engines. Marussia will be the third team to join the bandwagon. At the moment, Marussia is being powered by Cosworth. Another set of teams that change its engines are Mclaren and Force India. Mclaren will be moving on to Honda engines as its new supplier for the powertrain. As Force India has a technical tie-up with Mclaren for technology exchange, we are confident that even Force India will move out with Mclaren.
