Ford has revealed an even more powerful version of its model Fiesta ST. The unveil comes at a time when the Geneva Motor Show is around the corner. Fiesta ST is a hatchback from the American carmaker, aiming those who love power.
The car looks stunning with its latest modifications. A new silver grey paint finish accompanied with 17-inch matte black alloys give the car a refreshed look. The brake calipers are painted red and the overall colour combination (black alloys and silver body) just looks amazing. The interior detailing has also been tweaked with.
The most evident updates are being done on the engine. While Fiesta ST can produce 180 bhp of power, ST200 churns out 197 bhp. Moreover, the torque figures are enhanced from 244 Nm to 290 Nm. Though, the 1.6-litre turbocharged EcoBoost engine remains unchanged, a different tune enables ST200 to decrease the 0-100 kmph time by 0.2 seconds and now stands at 6.7 seconds. The top speed is further increased by 7 kmph which previously was 223 kmph. Transmission duties are carried out by same 6-speed manual gearbox.
The automobile showcases a plethora of technological updates apart from aesthetical changes. The vehicle now has improved Torque Vectoring Control and Electronic Stability Control systems. These combined with the new tuning of dampers at front as well as rear makes sure that Ford has been able to keep up with the latest technical developments.
Fiesta ST has been greatly popular in the UK. Out of every three STs sold by the automaker in Europe, two are consumed by UK customers.
