Honda Cars India that has recently launched their first diesel car the Amaze in India, has already grabbed over 6,000 bookings since the official booking started (April 1, 2013). And the Amaze is expected to touch the 10,000-11,000 booking mark in the next two-three days. Honda has never seen such a footfall ever for any of its cars, courtesy the right pricing. So, the waiting period might go above 2-3 months, which means if you book the diesel version of the car today, you might get the delivery in June or July.
Launched in Delhi and Mumbai on April 11 and 12 respectively, the Amaze is being made available in Petrol only variants, and Rajasthan is one such market. It shows how fast the diesel variants of the vehicle are booked, and waiting for them is likely to be longer than the Dzire diesel.
We spoke to a dealership based out of Jaipur, which claims the first lot of the diesel version allotted by the company to have been already booked, and they will delivering the vehicles to the ones who had booked first. Speaking further on the status of bookings, the dealership said, "Till yesterday, we were booking the cars for May-June delivery, the overwhelming response has now compelled us to take the bookings for July."
Launched both in the petrol and diesel variants, the Honda Amaze has been priced between Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The base diesel variant will cost Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which comes with some good features including ABS as standard.
