Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) is enroute to expansion journey, the Japanese automaker is focusing on energizing its current outlets and also on expanding the dealerships and service network, concentrating more on the tier III cities. The carmaker has recently inaugurated 200th dealership in the country and plan to expand the total no. of dealerships to 230 in 150 cities by the end of March 2015. Moreover, Honda India registered 43 per cent growth in the current fiscal year till now, and its the third consecutive profitable fiscal year!

Delighted over the company’s performance, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President, Marketing and Sales, HCIL, commented, “We are thankful to our customers for the great response we have achieved for our cars. We launched the new City and the Mobilio in 2014 and both models have done very well in their respective segments. Honda Amaze has also established itself as the preferred family sedan for more than 1 lakh customers in India. The state of Madhya Pradesh accounts for 3% of HCIL’s national sales. As we expand our business, it is important for us to move even closer to our customers to be able to provide them with best customer services at nationwide level.

“The demand for our models is quite strong and we have been bucking the industry de-growth by posting good sales. This fiscal year is going to be our 3rd consecutive year of positive growth,” Mr Sen added further.

The company is running three successful products in the portfolio - City, Amaze and the recently launch Mobilio MPV. The upcoming product in the pipeline - Honda Jazz is also an anticipated one since its showdown at the expo earlier this year. Moreover, HCIL has also started second shift at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan to decrease the waiting period of the City.
