The new Duster is quite different from the Indian version and embraces a lot of cosmetic changes
Renault, the French automaker has launched 2015 Renault Duster facelift in the Brazilian market. The Crossover cum compact SUV has been getting updates internationally on regular intervals and the latest modifications make the vehicle more upmarket. The new Duster comes with a long list of alterations inside out while under the hood mechanics remains the same (for the Brazilian market).
Down the memory lane, Brazil is the country where Duster was nurtured and brought to youth and then it faced towards other markets of the world. Renault has released two videos in which each and every detail of the latest facelift is portrayed (Watch the videos at the end). The changes seems to be market specific and might not be granted to other versions running in various countries.
Exterior Changes
- Front profile gets new black grille, tweaked headlight cluster that now embraces LED daytime running lights and silver finished skid guard.
- Roof rails have been updated and now looks more brawny.
- Redesigned set of taillights, a lot more premium than the current one.
Interior Changes
- A fresh central console that incorporates updated infotainment system with Media Nav now allowing access to social media and real time traffic.
- New steering wheel that seems to be borrowed from supermini Sandero.
- Updated instrument cluster comprising of white back-lit.
As per the engine specs, the 2015 Renault Duster in Brazil gets 1.6 liter and 2.0 flex-fuel engines mated to manual and automatic transmission system. The top end 2.0 liter trim include 4WD option as well. Price ranges between 62,990 and 78,790 Reals ( approx INR 12.29-15.38 lac)
Well, nothing can be said as per the Indian launch of this new version as Renault recently updated Duster line-up in the country. So, we can expect the facelift at the end of this year or early 2016.
