Lamborghini will launch the Huracan LP 610-4 on 22 September in India in an event to be held at Taj Land End, Mumbai. This new sports car will replace Lamborghini's most successful and longest running product - Gallardo, that has been running straight over a decade. The Huracan has been wooing the world since its launch recently and packs enough punch to take over the legacy from the Gallardo.
Speaking about the design, the front end gets inspiration from the mighty Aventador while rear of the Huracan is distinctive. Huracan uses aluminum body along with composite material to keep the overall weight to a lower side while the chassis is crafted out of hybrid aluminum and carbon fiber. The Huracan rides on Pirelli 20-inch radials with 245/30 cross-section for front while the rear adorns fatter 305/30 R20.
The new Lambo gathers power from a 5.2 liter V10 that is also seen on the Audi R8 but this has been tweaked a bit. The workhorse gathers 610bhp of max power @ 8,250rpm while it's entire 560Nm of torque comes at 6,500rpm. The motor is mated to 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission while the shifting characteristics varies depending on the drive mode selected. This setup propels the Huracan from naught to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds while adding another 100 enables 0-200km/h ride in 9.9 seconds. The top speed is in excess of 325km/h! Huracan comes under Euro 6 norms and extracts 290 g/km and the fuel consumption in combined cycle is 12.5l/100km nearly 8km/l.
