Mercedes-Benz B-Class Facelift model unveiled

Mercedes Benz unveiled the much awaited facelift version of B-Class. Since its inception in 2011, the German manufacturer has globally retailed more than 3,50,000 cars and with the updated model soon to be made available, the automaker looks to touch new heights. The car is expected to be made available in Indian showrooms by early 2015 while for the rest of the world, the sales have already commenced with a price tag of £22,575 (Rs 22.57 lakh).

On the unveiling of the car, Ola Källenius, Member of the Divisional Board Mercedes-Benz Cars responsible for Marketing & Sales said, "As the first member of a completely new generation of compact class, for us the B-Class paved the way for great success in this vehicle segment. The pioneer is now in better shape than ever. The B-Class is the perfect (family) car for anyone who attaches importance to practicality, comfort and safety, but at the same time doesn't want to miss out on sportiness or driving dynamics."

The facelift model embraces, LED High Performance headlamps, a new bumper, wide radiator trim with two louvres and daytime running lamps in the headlamps. The rear now features additional chrome trim strip and  Bicolour tail lamps featuring LED technology which adds to its sporty look.

Inside the facelift model, one may find up-to-date interiors with a high degree of exclusiveness. The interior now sports a large, free-standing head unit display of 8 inches and stylish dial layout for the instrument cluster. Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift model also gets 12 colours for the ambient lighting.

Safety is enhanced by the use of COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS which extends the functionality of COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST. Adding more to the safety, the car also gets ATTENTION ASSIST.

In terms of engine specification, the car gets a wide range engine options including four petrol, four diesel and two models with alternative drive systems- the B 180 and B 180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Editions.
