Tata Safari Storme Varicor 400 officially launched at Rs 13.25 lakh

Tata Motors has launched a torquier variant of its powerful SUV, the Safari Storme at Rs 13,25,530 (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2.2L VARICOR engine has been tweaked for more power and now produces 156 PS of power along with 400Nm of torque which is mated to a new 6-speed manual gearbox, with a self-adjusting clutch which gives this SUV a more car like feel.

Even the 4x4 variant gets this upgrade and is priced at Rs.14, 59,952 (ex-showroom New Delhi). The four wheel drive Shift-on-the fly system along with Limited Slip Differential (LSD) make the Safari a capable off roader.

The Safari Storme now also gets company's new integrated CONNECTNEXT infotainment system along with 6-speaker surround sound which is developed by Harman. It includes Speed Dependent Volume Control, Bluetooth Hands Free, with CD/MP3/Radio/Aux/USB and iPod connectivity, Phone Book Download, Audio Streaming and a Reverse Parking Sensor Display.

Earlier in the week, Tata discontinued Manza and Vista to refresh their lineup and to focus more on their revamped products like Zest and Bolt, and the upcoming Tata Zica. Tata has been moving up the ladder with each model as far as the design technology and interiors are concerned; now all eyes are on their upcoming hatch, Zica. Keep in tune.
