3,988 beneficiaries in Delhi given skill training during last three years ; 14 lakhs across the country

547 beneficiaries in Delhi helped to set up enterprises under Urban Livelihood Mission; 3 lakhs in the country

Under Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) which was later converted into National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) in September, 2014, 23,988 beneficiaries have been imparted skill training in Delhi during the last three years as against 14.22 lakh in the country. Cumulative targets in this regard were 33,050 and 14.00 lakhs respectively.

547 beneficiaries in Delhi were also assisted to set up individual and group micro-enterprises under these programmes during the last three years as against 3.02 lakhs in the country. Cumulative targets in this regard were 7,143 for Delhi and 3.65 lakhs for the country.

As against the total central assistance of Rs.2,157 cr released during the last three years, States and Union Territories utilized Rs.1,494 cr under these programmes.

In a different reply, Shri Babul Supriyo informed that a total of 60,107 complaints of unauthorized construction in Delhi have been received by the concerned municipal bodies during 2014 and action in the form of demolition and sealing has been taken in respect of 5,795 complaints. He said that action in such cases is taken under the Delhi Municipal Act, 1957, New Delhi Municipal Council Act, 1994, Cantonment Act, 2006, Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 and Building Bye-Laws.

Delhi Development Authority has informed that they have not allotted land to any private companies and NGOs during the last three years and allotment/lease deed of two schools have been cancelled for violation of terms and conditions.
