CPI for the month of April eases at 9.39%

Provisional annual inflation rate based on all India general Consumer Price Indices (CPI) on base 2010=100 (Combined) for April 2013 on point to point basis (April 2013 over April 2012) stood at 9.39% as compared to 10.39% (final) for the previous month of March 2013. The corresponding provisional inflation rates for rural and urban areas for April 2013 were 9.16% and 9.73% respectively. Inflation rates (final) for rural and urban areas for March 2013 stood at 10.41% and 10.38% respectively.
