Eveready Industries India announces hike in batteries

With immediate effect

Eveready Industries India announced a hike in the prices of its batteries with immediate effect after the concessional rate of excise duty earlier allowed for consumer durables was not extended beyond 31 December 2014. The excise duty on batteries has gone up by 2%.
