Financials shares slide

Financials stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Finance index falling 4.85 points or 0.12% at 4031.07 at 13:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, Satin Creditcare Network Ltd (down 4.97%), Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (down 4.78%),Shriram City Union Finance Ltd (down 4.43%),CreditAccess Grameen Ltd (down 4.04%),Bandhan Bank Ltd (down 4.03%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Bank of Baroda (down 4.02%), Lakshmi Vilas Bank Ltd (down 4.01%), Reliance Capital Ltd (down 3.85%), AAVAS Financiers Ltd (down 3.76%), and Centrum Capital Ltd (down 3.5%).

On the other hand, Reliance Home Finance Ltd (up 4.88%), LIC Housing Finance Ltd (up 4.65%), and ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd (up 3.7%) moved up.

At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 182.87 or 0.61% at 30211.85.

The Nifty 50 index was up 84.15 points or 0.95% at 8907.4.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 3.88 points or 0.04% at 10380.19.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 16.41 points or 0.45% at 3667.08.

On BSE,1041 shares were trading in green, 1026 were trading in red and 159 were unchanged.
