Net inflow of Rs 756.66 crore on 17 November 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 756.66 crore on Monday, 17 November 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 675.52 crore on Friday, 14 November 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 756.66 crore on 17 November 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3706.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 2949.84 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 754.56 crore into the secondary equity market on 17 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3703.56 crore and gross sales of Rs 2949 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex advanced 131.22 points or 0.47% to settle at 28,177.88, a record closing high for the index.
There was a net inflow of Rs 2.10 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 17 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2.94 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.84 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 10946.47 crore in this month so far (till 17 November 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 10234.64 crore from the secondary markets in this month so far (till 17 November 2014). FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 1171.51 crore last month. They sold shares worth a net Rs 2010.97 crore from the secondary markets last month.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 93212.62 crore in this calendar year so far (till 17 November 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 83705.78 crore from the secondary equity markets in this year so far (till 17 November 2014).
