HCL Infosystems slips on dismal Q4 numbers

HCL Infosystems fell 3.44% to Rs 44.90 at 13:14 IST on BSE after the company reported consolidated net loss of Rs 41.45 crore in Q4 June 2015 lower than net loss of Rs 47.16 crore in Q3 March 2015.

The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 20 August 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 336.47 points, or 1.22%, to 27,271.35.

On BSE, so far 6.21 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 8.26 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 45.75 and a low of Rs 42.70 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 94.50 on 22 September 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 30.65 on 16 June 2015.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 20 August 2015, rising 8.52% compared with 2.86% fall in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 11.38% as against Sensex's 0.82% decline.

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 44.58 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

On a consolidated basis, the company's net sales rose 22.48% to Rs 1685.50 crore in Q4 June 2015 over Q3 March 2015.

HCL Infosystems said its Services business registered 3.4% revenue growth in Q4 June 2015 over Q3 March 2015. Consumer Services business registered 13% revenue growth in Q4 June 2015 over Q3 March 2015.

Consumer distribution business registered 26% revenue growth in Q4 June 2015 over Q3 March 2015, backed by strong demand in the rural segment. Meanwhile, Enterprise distribution business registered 31% revenue growth in Q4 June 2015 over Q3 March 2015, the company said in a statement.

HCL Learning business transitioned to asset light model and successfully grew content revenues. It registered a growth of 24% in Q4 June 2015 over Q3 March 2015 and is expanding the portfolio through new offerings, the company said.
