F&O turnover rises
The October 2015 futures on the 50-unit CNX Nifty index traded at 8195, near Nifty's closing of 8189.70 in the cash market. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 1.91 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 1.48 lakh crore registered yesterday, 8 October 2015.
In the cash market, the Nifty rose 60.35 points or 0.74% to settle at 8,189.70, its highest closing level since 21 August 2015.
Infosys, Aurobindo Pharma, State Bank of India, IndusInd Bank, and Vedanta were the top traded individual stock futures contracts on the F&O segment of NSE.
Infosys October 2015 futures traded at 1165.15, at a discount compared with the stock's closing price of 1167.80 in the cash market.
Aurobindo Pharma October 2015 futures traded at 792.95, at a premium to the stock's spot closing of 789.50.
State Bank of India October 2015 futures traded at 242.80, at a slight discount compared with the stock's spot closing of 242.95.
IndusInd Bank October 2015 futures traded at 942.05, at a premium to the stock's spot closing of 938.50.
Vedanta October 2015 futures traded at 104.90, near stock's spot closing of 104.65.
The October 2015 F&O contracts are set to expire on 29 October 2015
