Kitex Garments trims gains in volatile trade after declaring good Q2 result

Kitex Garments rose 1.21% to Rs 828 at 14:39 IST on BSE after net profit surged 40.52% to Rs 27.15 crore on 4.71% growth in total income from operations to Rs 134.25 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014.

The result was announced during market hours today, 19 October 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 136.09 points, or 0.5%, to 27,350.69

On BSE, so far 94,504 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 32,106 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock was volatile. The stock surged as much as 5.73% at the day's high of Rs 865 so far during the day. The fell as much as 0.37% at the day's low of Rs 815 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 1,070 on 15 July 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 442.70 on 10 December 2014.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 16 October 2015, rising 8.9% compared with 4.82% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had, however, underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 21.56% as against Sensex's 4.33% decline.

The mid-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 4.75 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.
