Navin Fluorine hits 52-week high after turnaround in Q4

Navin Fluorine International rose 2.24% to Rs 395 at 11:54 IST on BSE after the company reported net profit of Rs 18.13 crore in Q4 March 2014 as against net loss of Rs 7.60 crore in Q4 March 2013.

The Q4 result was announced after market hours on Monday, 28 April 2014.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 95.21 points or 0.42% at 22,536.40.

On BSE, so far 16,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 10,237 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 403 so far during the day, which is a 52-week high for the counter. The stock hit a low of Rs 390 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 148.10 on 8 July 2013.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 28 April 2014, surging 12.59% compared with the Sensex's 1.31% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, jumping 41.16% as against Sensex's 9.42% rise.

The small-cap fluorochemicals maker has equity capital of Rs 9.76 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Navin Fluorine International's net sales rose 18.4% to Rs 123.79 crore in Q4 March 2014 over Q4 March 2013.

Navin Fluorine International's net profit rose 17.4% to Rs 50.66 crore on 14.5% decline in net sales to Rs 447.15 crore in the year ended 31 March 2014 (FY 2014) over the year ended 31 March 2013 (FY 2013).

On consolidated basis, Navin Fluorine International's net profit surged 51.47% to Rs 65.71 crore on 11.59% decline in total income from operations to Rs 486.24 crore in FY 2014 over FY 2013.

There has been no income from sale of Certified Emission Reductions (Carbon Credits) during the quarter/year.

Navin Fluorine International's board of directors at its meeting held on Monday, 28 April 2014, recommended final dividend of Rs 8.50 per share for FY 2014.

Navin Fluorine International belongs to a reputed industrial house of Arvind Mafatlal Group in India. It has largest integrated fluorochemicals complex in India, since 1967. The company primarily focuses on three businesses, Refrigeration gases, Chemicals/Bulk Fluorides and Specialty Organofluorines with manufacturing facilities at Surat, Gujarat and Dewas, Madhya Pradesh.
