NBCC soars over 50% in seven days

NBCC was up 6.56% to Rs 24.35, extending its winning run to seventh consecutive session.

The stock has surged 50.31% in seven trading sessions from its previous closing low of Rs 16.2 posted on 3 April 2020.

Shares of NBCC trade 62.77% below its 52-week high of Rs 65.40 hit on 28 May 2019. In last one month, NBCC has jumped 42.8% as compared to a 1.7% rise in benchmark BSE Sensex.

On a consolidated basis, net profit tanked 40.8% to Rs 49.54 crore in Q3 December 2019 (Q3 FY20) as against Rs 83.65 crore reported in Q3 December 2018 (Q3 FY19). Net sales fell 20.3% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) to Rs 1,916.68 crore in Q3 FY20.

NBCC (India) provides civil engineering construction services. The firm operates through three segments: Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Real Estate Development & Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC).

As of 31 December 2019, the Government of India held 64.95% stake in the company.
