Turnover on NSE's F&O segment falls
The June 2017 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 9,645, a discount of 8.50 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 9,653.50.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment fell to Rs 2.46 lakh crore, from Rs 8.27 lakh crore registered during previous trading session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 37.40 points or 0.39% to settle at 9,653.50, a record closing high.
GMR Infrastructure, Tata Steel, State Bank of India (SBI), Yes Bank and Ceat were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. GMR Infra June 2017 futures traded at 16.95, at a premium over spot closing of 16.80.
Tata Steel June 2017 futures traded at 494.30, at a premium over spot closing of 492. SBI June 2017 futures traded at 289.10, at a premium compared with spot closing of 287.20.
Yes Bank June 2017 futures traded at 1,483, at a premium compared with spot closing of 1,478. Ceat June 2017 futures traded at 1,815.05, at a discount over spot closing of 1,851.
The June 2017 F&O contracts will expire on 29 June 2017.
