Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops
The June 2017 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 9569.05, a discount of 26.05 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 9595.10.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 3.60 lakh crore, from Rs 12.61 lakh crore registered during previous trading session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 85.35 points or 0.9% to settle at 9,595.10, its record closing high.
Tata Steel, HPCL, ITC, Reliance Industries and Vedanta were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Tata Steel June 2017 futures traded at 512.70, at a premium over spot closing of 511.30.
HPCL June 2017 futures traded at 572, at a premium over spot closing of 569.10. ITC June 2017 futures traded at 303.30, at a discount compared with spot closing of 306.10.
Reliance Industries June 2017 futures traded at 1339.20, near spot closing of 1339. Vedanta June 2017 futures traded at 243.10, at a premium over spot closing of 242.25.
The June 2017 F&O contracts will expire on 29 June 2017.
