Turnover drops

Nifty May 2014 futures were at 6724.10, at a premium of 29.30 points over spot closing of 6694.80. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 61725.24 crore from Rs 106293.58 crore on Wednesday, 30 April 2014. The stock market was closed on Thursday, 1 May 2014, on account of May Day.

State Bank of India May 2014 futures were at 2053.60, at a premium over spot closing of 2047.50.

Tata Steel May 2014 futures were at 394.40, at a premium over spot closing of 390.90.

Aurobindo Pharma May 2014 futures were at 605.35, at a premium over spot closing of 602.95.

In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty lost 1.60 points or 0.02% to settle at 6,694.80, its lowest closing level since 16 April 2014.

The May 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 29 May 2014.
