Turnover drops
Nifty May 2014 futures were at 6825.15, at a premium of 42.40 points over spot closing of 6782.75. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 81546.77 crore from Rs 328626.47 crore on Wednesday, 23 April 2014. The stock market was closed on Thursday, 24 April 2014, on account of Parliamentary elections in Mumbai constituency.
Axis Bank May 2014 futures were at 1555.50, at a premium over spot closing of 1543.60.
ICICI Bank May 2014 futures were at 1278, at a premium over spot closing of 1269.
Yes Bank May 2014 futures were at 466.60, at a discount compared to spot closing of 468.70.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty lost 58.05 points or 0.85% to settle at 6,782.75, its lowest closing level since 17 April 2014.
The May 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 29 May 2014.
