Turnover surges
Nifty September 2014 futures were at 7,977, at a premium of 33.80 points over spot closing of 7,954.35. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 409850.99 crore from Rs 283313.96 crore on Wednesday, 27 August 2014.
Reliance Industries September 2014 futures were at 1,007.50, at a premium over spot closing of 1,000.
ICICI Bank September 2014 futures were at 1,555.50, at a premium compared to spot closing of 1,552.85.
HDFC Bank September 2014 futures were at 847.75, at a premium compared to spot closing of 840.95
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty rose 18.30 points or 0.23% to settle at 7,954.35, a record closing high.
The August 2014 derivatives contracts expired today, 28 August 2014. The September 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 25 September 2014.
