Turnover jumps
Nifty August 2014 futures were at 7905.25, at a premium of 14.15 points over spot closing of 7891.10. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 243920.75 crore from Rs 166911.92 crore on Wednesday, 20 August 2014.
State Bank of India (SBI) August 2014 futures were at 2477.75, at a premium over spot closing of 2471.
ICICI Bank August 2014 futures were at 1544.50, at a discount compared to spot closing of 1544.90.
Tata Steel August 2014 futures were at 537.70, near spot closing of 536.45.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty advanced 15.80 points or 0.2% to settle at 7,891.10, its highest closing level since 19 August 2014.
The August 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 28 August 2014.
