Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index records a surge of 2.28%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended up 2.28% at 2570.9 today. The index has lost 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Union Bank of India jumped 4.05%, Syndicate Bank gained 3.48% and Canara Bank added 3.14%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has decreased 16.00% over last one year compared to the 12.05% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index increased 1.21% and Nifty Metal index added 0.61% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.10% to close at 12271.8 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.02% to close at 41681.54 today.
