Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index registers a drop of 3.12%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 3.12% at 2908.05 today. The index has lost 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Punjab National Bank fell 5.66%, Bank of Baroda dropped 4.94% and Canara Bank shed 3.08%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has increased 1.00% over last one year compared to the 2.22% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index increased 0.99% and Nifty FMCG index increased 0.96% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.13% to close at 11331.05 while the SENSEX has declined 0.13% to close at 37982.74 today.
