RBI to conduct Reverse Repo and MSF Operations on Saturdays

As a further measure to facilitate smoother operations under the revised Liquidity Management Framework announced on August 22, 2014, the Reserve Bank of India has decided to conduct Reverse Repo and Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) operations on all Saturdays with effect from February 21, 2015. The Reverse Repo and MSF operations conducted on Saturdays will ordinarily be for a tenor of two days with reversal on the following Monday. In case Monday is an RTGS holiday, the reversal will take place on the next RTGS working day.

The timings of the operations on all Saturdays will be between 2.00 p.m. and 2.30 p.m.
