Reliance Capital rose 0.0.61% to Rs 565.60 at 10:28 IST on BSE after consolidated net profit rose 23% to Rs 164 crore on 11% growth in total income to Rs 2144 crore in Q1 June 2014 over Q1 June 2013.
The Q1 result was announced after market hours on Thursday, 14 August 2014. The stock market was closed on Friday, 15 August 2014, on account of Independence Day.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 86.36 points or 0.33% at 26,189.59.
On BSE, so far 1.43 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 10.16 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock was volatile. The stock rose as much as 0.83% at the day's high of Rs 566.85 so far during the day. The stock lost as much as 1.22% at the day's low of Rs 555.25 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 668.40 on 9 June 2014. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 290 on 28 August 2013.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 14 August 2014, advancing 0.17% compared with Sensex's 4.38% rise. The scrip had, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, jumping 35.74% as against Sensex's 9.61% rise.
The large-cap company has equity capital of Rs 245.63 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
Reliance Capital had a net debt equity ratio of 1.86 as on 30 June 2014. It continues to enjoy the highest ratings of A1+ by ICRA and CRISIL, for its short term borrowing program and CARE AAA by CARE for its long term borrowing program, Reliance Capital said in a statement.
As on 30 June 2014, the assets of the company stood at Rs 45869 crore. The net worth of the company stood at Rs 12643 crore as on 30 June 2014.
